About
People who've earned the Technology Leader in Independent Schools (TLIS) certification through significant experience and passing an exam, that they can demonstrate proficiency and wisdom in a variety of areas including, but not limited to, technology infrastructure, data security, digital citizenship, instructional technology, and leadership. These certified technology leaders pledge to uphold codes of ethics and professional conduct. The TLIS is maintained through ongoing professional development directly related to the four domains outlined in the TLIS Candidate Handbook.
Earning Criteria
- At least five years of experience working in an independent school setting;
- At least two years of experience working in roles related to IT, educational technology,
- and leadership;
- 60 hours of qualifying* professional development credit earned over the three-year period
- leading up to the application;
- Take and pass the TLIS examination; and
- Attest to the ATLIS TLIS Code of Conduct
