Breaking Into Orbit (SCOR Explorer)

This Space, Cybersecurity, Operations, and Resilience Platform Professional (SCOR-P2)™ (SCOR Explorer) micro-credential is a short, self-paced course with a proctored exam that serves as an entry point into our community. The course was designed to explain our view of the journey into the SCOR-P2 field and the work roles that we are centering around to #helpkeepspacesafe.

• Introduction: An overview of the “Breaking into Orbit Learning Path” and the three common backgrounds that our community members typically have.
• Module One: A brief lecture on space, artificial satellites, and orbital mechanics designed for a community member with no space background and focused on the absolute basics.
• Module Two: Explaining the cross-domain framework concept, Space Cybersecurity Operations and Resilience (SCOR), is at the core of our Platform Professional (P2) community mission.
• Module Three: An overview of the Full Spectrum Space Cybersecurity Professional work role. In this module, you will learn the work role description, knowledge, skill, ability, and task statements.
• Module Four: An overview of how the Full Spectrum Space Cybersecurity Professional work role can contribute to the space industry.
• Module Five: An overview of the SCOR Incident Responder work role. In this module, you will learn the work role description, knowledge, skill, ability, and task statements.
• Module Six: An overview of how the SCOR Incident Responder work role can contribute to the space industry.
• Module Seven: An overview of the SCOR Security Operations Analyst work role. In this module, you will learn the work role description, knowledge, skill, ability, and task statements.
