The SIS Active Learning Credential requires the completion of six (6) online training modules.

The content of these interactive training modules was created by eCampus Ontario in collaboration with Queen's University Teaching and Learning in Higher Education Office.

Acquired Skills / Knowledge

Earning Criteria

Onsite training is conducted in the SIS Group of Schools. Participants complete the following modules:

1. How students learn

2. Active Learning

3. Globalization of learning

4. Principles of course design

5. Assessment Strategies

6. Launch Ethical Principles and Professionalism in Teaching

 

After the completion of the modules, learners are required create lesson plans and present one demo lesson that incorporates the active learning strategies. This allows the learners to apply the knowledge and demonstrate their learning from the modules.
