At the B1 CEFR level, you’ve developed a range of essential language skills that equip you for effective communication in diverse settings. Here’s an overview of the key skills acquired:

1. Listening Skills: You can understand the main points of clear, standard speech on familiar matters such as work, school, leisure, and daily life. You’re also able to grasp straightforward information and follow the main ideas in conversations.

2. Reading Skills: You can read and understand texts that contain common vocabulary and simple grammar structures. This includes basic descriptions, instructions, and information on familiar topics, as well as personal letters that describe events, feelings, and wishes.

3. Speaking Skills:

   • Interaction: You can engage in routine conversations on familiar topics and can handle short exchanges, even if you may need occasional help from the listener.
   • Production: You can describe experiences, express feelings, and talk about plans and ambitions. You can also briefly explain your opinions on topics of interest.

4. Writing Skills: You can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. This includes writing descriptions, simple narratives, and short messages that convey your thoughts, feelings, and everyday information.

5. Vocabulary and Grammar: You have a good foundation in essential grammar structures and everyday vocabulary, allowing you to convey messages accurately. You’re also capable of adjusting your language for polite exchanges and can start handling more complex grammar with some ease.

These skills at the B1 level lay a strong foundation for further language development and open opportunities for personal, academic, and professional growth in English-speaking contexts.
